In Windows Server 2016 en 2019 is de Windows Photo Viewer verwijderd. Voor een RDS is dit niet handig. In Windows Server 2012R2 zat nog de feature role Desktop Experience. Hiermee werd onder andere de Windows Photo Viewer mee ge\u00efnstalleerd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit is nu dus niet meer mogelijk en worden foto’s geopend in Paint, niet heel erg effici\u00ebnt. Gelukkig is op de volgende manier dit wil terug te halen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Als het bestand is opgeslagen kan je het daarna openen. Vervolgens krijg je natuurlijk een waarschuwing maar deze mag je doorklikken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nu kan je foto’s bekijken in de Windows Photo Viewer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ook is het mogelijk om dit met een GPO uit te rollen. Dit heb ik zelf alleen niet toegepast, laat staan getest. Wel heb ik het volledige stappenplan hieronder in een PDF opgeslagen, mocht de bron ooit offline gaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
